The Coffee Sniffers is the second novel in the Coffee Chronicles — an evolving series tracing coffee's journey across five centuries. The first draft is complete, and the novel is moving toward publication.
The Coffee Sniffers is a work of historical fiction. The story is rooted in real places, historical circumstances, people, and the fascinating early history of coffee, but the novel itself is a work of imagination.
Where history provides only fragments, the narrative fills the gaps with fictional characters, conversations, motivations, relationships, and events. Some historical figures appear alongside fictional characters, and their portrayal serves the needs of the story rather than claiming to reproduce their private thoughts or actions with documentary certainty.
The intention is not to rewrite history, but to bring a little-known corner of it to life — and to imagine what it might have felt like to be there when coffee was still mysterious, valuable, dangerous, and new.
First draft complete. No release date has been set. Plot, characters, and setting will be shared here as the novel nears publication.
